The deal marks DoohClick’s entry into the UK out of home market following a year of expansion across Europe, the Middle East, the USA and South Africa.
Smart Outdoor has grown its network of screens to more than 450, reaching an audience of more than 18 million. The company operates prominent large format screens in roadside, transit and retail locations across the North East, Yorkshire and Central Scotland including the Tyne Bridge, York Designer Outlet and sites at Edinburgh’s Waverley Station and Murrayfield Stadium.
Smart Outdoor CEO Mark Catterall said: “To support our growth across the North and Scotland, it’s important to choose an adtech network partner that has direct experience and understanding of digital out of home from both a media owner and a technical perspective. DoohClick meets these requirements and we are happy to become their first UK partner.”
DoohClick co-founder and COO Mark Bracey said: “As Mark and his team develop their portfolio, it’s essential that they have the right platform and tech in place to fully leverage and monetise every opportunity. DoohClick has been at the vanguard of modern outdoor which gives us an innate understanding about the challenges of managing and scaling a business. We look forward to working with Smart Outdoor on the next stage of their journey.”
